Our History

Pioneering Change, Setting Standards

Founded in 1999 by Mike Cregan, Greenspan was built to revolutionize construction with innovative and sustainable building materials. In 2011, Greenspan introduced the Cemrock Lite board, followed by the Extreme board in 2014—marking the beginning of a new era for MgO products. Years of testing and refinement have led to the high-performance standard we deliver today.

With a commitment to addressing key challenges like fire resistance and water damage, Greenspan has grown to offer a diverse range of solutions, including tile backers, sheathing boards, and structural panels—while staying rooted in sustainability.
